Neither KidSuper nor LaMelo Ball are strangers to loud graphics, making them ideal collaborators for Ball’s Puma MB.03 sneaker.
The KidSuper x Puma MB.03 gets a bold all-over print featuring abstract eyes, noses and mouths. Lest anyone miss the label’s artwork, the basketball sneaker is predominantly rendered in a bubblegum pink to go with various shades of blue. Suede overlays also help this collaboration stand apart from other MB.03 variants, and KidSuper branding features on the collar. Each pair will also come with a special box featuring the same artwork that appears on the sneaker.
KidSuper has been collaborating with Puma since 2020, including Velophasis and Palermo sneakers that released earlier in April, but the MB.03 marks the first time it’s worked with Ball, owner of one of the most popular signature basketball sneakers of today.
Puma has also expanded its output with Ball by revealing his own lifestyle sneaker, the Puma LaFrance, to debut in May and joining his line of basketball sneakers and slides. The shoe appeals to the resurgence of Y2K skate shoes and takes clear inspiration from the Osiris D3.
The KidSuper x Puma MB.03 will release May 9 through Puma’s website, app and NYC flagship, along with select third-party retailers. A “KidSuper Deportes” sports apparel capsule will also release alongside the sneakers, which are priced at $135.
