Kim Kardashian shade and a Joe Alwyn serenade: 5 buzziest moments from Taylor Swift's 'Reputation' tour
Taylor Swift might have buried the hatchet with Katy Perry, but Kim Kardashian is still persona non grata.
The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer kicked off her “Reputation” world tour on Wednesday night after a very under-the-radar two years, and a few things were clear. She still brings it onstage … and she brings the drama.
Here are five of the buzziest moments from Swift’s tour kickoff.
She called out Kim Kardashian for bullying her
After the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star put Swift on blast over supposedly approving that lyric in Kanye West’s song “Famous,” the snake emoji was used to drag Swift online.
Wait it’s legit National Snake Day?!?!?They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days!

It’s a symbol Swift has embraced while promoting her album Reputation, and the singer explained onstage why she has been using the imagery.
“A couple of years ago, someone called me a snake on social media and it caught on,” she told the sold-out crowd. “And then a lot of people called me a lot of names on social media. And I went through some really low times for a while because of it. I went through some times when I didn’t know if I was going to get to do this anymore. And I guess the snakes — I wanted to send a message to you guys that if someone uses name calling to bully you on social media and even if a lot of people jump onboard with it, that doesn’t have to defeat you. It can strengthen you instead.”
Swift continued, “And I think something that came out of it that was good was that I learned a really important lesson that I’ve been telling you from the stage for 10 years but I haven’t been able to learn myself, which has to do with how much you value your reputation. And I think the lesson is that you shouldn’t care so much if you feel misunderstood by a lot of people who don’t know you, as long as you feel understood by the people who do know you, the people who show up for you, and the people who see you as a human being. So thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to get to know me, for sticking up for me, for seeing me as human being.”
She serenaded boyfriend Joe Alwyn
One of those people who shows up for Swift is her British beau. Joe Alwyn was in the audience as his superstar girlfriend performed a few tracks from Reputation about the actor, like “Gorgeous.” Fans lost it when they caught a glimpse of Swift serenading her man, even pointing at him at the end of that song.
He was there to see Taylor herself bc the ‘he said and she said’ does not work on him. This is Joe Alwyn, be like Joe. pic.twitter.com/ucUmsv36pz

The media is still in Swift’s burn book
After Snapchatgate, the “…Ready for It?” singer believed that the media quickly turned on her, trying to tarnish her reputation. She made that point again with a montage of press clips bashing her at the intro of her tour.

She explained why she stepped back from the spotlight
According to tweets, Swift talked to the crowd about her decision to pull back, explaining it as something she had to do. (But she still missed her fans!)
“I decided it was really important for me to figure out how I would be and what my life would be like if I didn’t have a spotlight on me all the time. Turned out it was really, really important for me BUT I really did miss you guys!” – Taylor #repTourGlendale

She had 8 costume changes — and nailed it
Alwyn wasn’t the only “Gorgeous” thing at the show. Swift has been teasing her tour costumes on Instagram and it was well worth the wait. The singer had eight glittery outfit changes and fans loved ’em.
