Kim Kardashian West recalls tearful, 'emotional' reunion with O.J. Simpson and her sisters
In a rare move, Kim Kardashian West is talking about O.J. Simpson.
The reality star/entrepreneur appears on the first two episodes of her close friend Jonathan Cheban's new podcast, "Foodgod: OMFG."
In the episode released Thursday, Cheban broached the topic of Simpson, when he shared the story of their first meeting. Kardashian West's father, Robert Kardashian, served as a member of Simpson's defense team when he stood trial for the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, killed in 1994.
Cheban, who has appeared on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," described the former running back as a "charmer."
"He's just such a charming person, the way he speaks and stuff," Cheban said. "And the first thing he asked was about you guys, like, 'How are the girls? How's everybody?' "

The host then asked his guest if she'd run into Simpson. Kardashian West recalled a reunion, which she said involved tears.
"I think the last time I saw him was in Miami," she remembered. "It was before he had gone to jail this last situation… I think me, Kourtney and Khloé were in Miami in a club – and we ran into him in the VIP section."
Simpson was acquitted in the murder trial, but convicted of robbery and kidnapping in 2008, for his role in a Las Vegas robbery. He was locked up for nine years at Lovelock Correctional Center outside Reno, before being released in October 2017.
"We all, I think, all started crying, and it was emotional, I think," Kardashian West said on the podcast.

She acknowledged she doesn't "really talk about" Simpson, citing his children as her reasons to keep quiet.
Simpson and Brown Simpson had two children together; he has two additional kids still living.
"I just, you know, his kids are all so amazing, and Nicole's kids, and I'm still somewhat friendly with his children," Kardashian West explained. "I don't really talk to them, but I did connect with his son, a few years back, and I just have respect for them. And their lives must be extremely hard to really go through that. So, I always try to just keep to myself on that issue and not bring anything up for them, 'cause I know every time someone does, it's super traumatic.
"And there's nothing worse than someone you knew from your childhood (who) just starts talking about your life," she continued. "And, I've seen that happen with people that have been close to us, and then they just start talking about us as kids and they really don't know us now."
"It gets so frustrating," she added. "So I always just try to be super respectful and just keep to myself on issues and that subject."

Simpson's ties to the Kardashian family have been scrutinized over the years, spurring unfounded rumors that he and Kris Jenner had an affair, or that he fathered Kris and Robert's third daughter together, Khloé Kardashian.
In June, Simpson took time out on Father's Day to shut down the notion that he is Khloé's dad.
"Bob Kardashian, he was like a brother to me," Simpson said in a video posted to Twitter. "He was a great guy. He met and married Kris (Jenner) and they really had a terrific time together when they were together, unfortunately that ended."
Simpson insisted he and Kris did not have intimate relations of any kind.
"But never – and I want to stress never – in any way, shape, or form have I ever had any interest in Kris – romantically, or sexually – and I never got any indication that she had any interest in me," he said. "So all of these stories are just bogus, bad, tasteless.
"Khloé, like all the girls, I'm very proud of, just like I know Bob would be, if he was here, but the simple facts of the matter is, she's not mine," Simpson added.
Robert died in 2003 after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer.
