Amazon has pulled the book that publisher Chris Todd claims contains the words of the late Kim Porter.

Last month, Todd released Kim’s Lost Words, a memoir he alleged was pieced together from writings from a flash drive that allegedly belonged to Porter.

“We were made aware of a dispute regarding this title and have notified the publisher,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement, per the Associated Press. “The book is not currently available for sale in our store.”

Before being removed, Kim’s Lost Words reached the No. 1 spot on Amazon’s bestseller list.

Actress Kim Porter and mogul Sean “Puffy” Combs arrives at the 77th Annual Academy Awards at the Kodak Theater on February 27, 2005 in Hollywood, California.

The removal comes after Al B. Sure!, legal name Albert Joseph Brown III, sent a cease and desist regarding contents in the unproven memoir to Todd, legal name Todd Christopher Guzze, as well as Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and CEO Andy Jassy, according to Page Six. The singer is a former romantic partner of Porter’s and the biological father of her son, Quincy Brown. The text claims he had a sexual relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“Should you fail to comply with these demands within ten days, we will have no alternative but to pursue all legal remedies available, including filing a lawsuit for defamation,” explained the letter.

“By misrepresenting his personal life and fabricating serious, false accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior, these defamatory claims have caused significant damage to Mr. Brown’s reputation.”

Before being released, Todd explained how he allegedly received the material used to format the book. At publishing, he used the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood.

“I know the celebrity source pretty well. I know how close they were to Kim and Diddy, and all the people in the Hip-Hop community,” detailed Todd at the time. Despite his claims, the author has not provided any proof of its authenticity, as a friend of Porter’s claims it is not real.

Ahead of its release, Eboni Elektra, a close friend of Porter, took to social media to out the work as counterfeit.

“Now it’s getting out of hand. THERE IS NO BOOK! There never was. Several people continue to speak about and spread blatant lies regarding this ‘mystery manuscript’ as if it were true. People… IT’S NOT. Kim would never do such a thing, and that’s the honest to God truth. The truth is the truth. Be blessed. #kimporterstrong.”

After the book was released, Porter and Combs’ children, Quincy Brown, Christian Combs, and twins Jessie and D’Lila Combs, issued a joint statement regarding the validity of the memoir.

“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not. And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves,” their statement said. “Please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart.”

The siblings continued, “We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories.”

In the 60-page book, the author detailed the alleged taboo sexual behaviors and abuse, violent behavior, and other salacious ordeals said to be Porter’s secret experience with Sean Combs.

Todd released Kim’s Lost Words after Combs was taken into police custody in New York City on charges including racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs remains behind bars awaiting trial.

“This is a dangerous situation, and I didn’t want to claim ownership of Kim’s words. But now I’m willing to come forward because of the recent arrest of Sean Combs. Now the federal government has finally acted, I feel safer to come forward,” he said

Porter died on Nov. 15, 2018. While the children have asserted her death was caused by lobar pneumonia, Al B. Sure!, insists an investigation is due following the criminal charges against the Hip-Hop mogul. He has also implied that Sean Combs may have been involved with his own medical emergency causing him to slip into a coma in 2022.
