King Charles Knows the Royal Family Is in Desperate Need of 'Glamour' So He's Making This Big Move
It’s a foregone conclusion at this point that King Charles III’s “slimmed-down monarchy” doesn’t work. Princess Anne warned him last year, but he didn’t listen. No one could have ever predicted the health crises at the palace though, and having a royal superstar, like Kate Middleton, sit out isn’t helping the situation. So, it’s reportedly time to call up the “Bea team.”
That’s what the Daily Mail is reporting as Princess Beatrice finally gets the recognition she’s been hoping for as a royal family member. “Charles is very aware that his slimmed-down monarchy is getting positively skeletal. He is heavily reliant on Anne and the Edinburghs,” an insider shared with the British publication. With major happenings on the summer schedule, including Trooping the Colour and the Royal Ascot, a second source noted that Charles needs “to widen the family at social events.” Beatrice might also be joined by her sister, Princess Eugenie because the monarch is “looking to bring in some fresh blood” and Charles thinks highly of Prince Andrew’s daughters.

“He thinks that they’ve grown into very sensible, lovely women who he thinks could be a real asset. Charles is listening to his public,” the first source explained. “They have been crying out for that royal glamour that has been missing during a time when his slimmed-down monarchy is in desperate need of bulking up.” For Beatrice, it’s “her chance to shine” because after hiring noted fashion stylist, Olivia Buckingham, five years ago, the princess is feeling “ambitious, confident and fashionable.”
The move comes at exactly the right time as royalists note that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent trip to Nigeria exemplified all of the energy and magic the royal family has been missing lately. In a separate column, the Daily Mail shockingly praised the couple for their goodwill tour. “Whatever the true complexion of this fascinating tour – private, non-royal, quasi-royal, presidential – one thing was certain. It was controlled skillfully and with an iron hand. Now back home in Montecito, Harry and Meghan will doubtless reflect on a job well done.“
That compliment probably isn’t music to Charles’ ears because his first year on the throne has not been the resounding success he hoped for. Outside of the health issues, he’s been dealing with Prince Andrew’s ongoing scandal, the family feud, and anti-monarchists, who seem to get louder as the months go by. Perhaps a little bit of shine from Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will spark some joy back into the palace this summer.
