King Charles and Princess Charlotte Appear to Wear Matching Taylor Swift-Inspired Accessories
Princess Charlotte and King Charles are certified BFFs.
The young royal and her monarch grandfather have each been spotted in a set of coordinated woven friendship bracelets, and the subtle nod to one another—perhaps inspired by Taylor Swift?—couldn't be sweeter.
While attending the men’s singles final at Wimbledon with her mother, Kate Middleton, on Sunday, July 14, the 9-year-old was photographed wearing what appeared to be a pair of handmade bracelets on her right wrist, with one made of predominately pink string and the other boasting a series of pretty pastel pinks, greens, yellows, and blues—and it looks like she gifted one to her granddad, too.
During his trip to the Channel Islands the next day, a glimpse of his own woven bracelet was spotted peeking out of his shirt sleeve as the king raised his hand to wave. The bracelet tied around the king's right wrist appeared to be made of red and yellow—a slight contrast to the blue tones of his outfit.
While we're not suggesting the "Karma" songstress invented the friendship bracelet, she certainly led to a boost in the bracelet-making economy with her song "You're on Your Own, Kid," and Princess Charlotte is known to be a certified Swiftie.
The young royal and her older brother, Prince George, accompanied their father, Prince William, to one of Swift's string of shows in London, where they had the opportunity to meet the superstar, her beau, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce, and the only daughter of the future king made a lasting impression.
"She had fire to her. She was asking questions," the former Eagles player said after meeting Charlotte, adding, "That was the most electric part."
"I love it when parents ask their kids to be present, be vocal," the tight end continued, applauding the decision to raise kids to be confident, empowered individuals as "such a good parent move."
"Just a good meet and the picture, keep it moving. No, let them have a moment, let them feel comfortable in talking to people...If anyone’s doing it right, Prince William's doing it right," he added. "So thank you, Your Royal Highness. It was awesome meeting you, and Charlotte and George."
