King Charles Is Reportedly ‘Not Content’ With One Big Aspect of His Relationship With Grandkids Archie & Lilibet
Get ready and prepare your eyes for the roll of the century. An insider is opening up about King Charles III’s relationship with his grandkids Prince Archie, 5 and Princess Lilibet, 3 who live in California because … everything. And the stank face this new tidbit inspired was next level, because the reigning monarch is reportedly “not content” with just seeing the kids over FaceTime.
Not content? Dude! You’re the king of freakin’ England! You can pretty much do anything you want, and this is definitely an “actions speak louder than words” situation.

The reason King Charles III doesn’t see his grandkids IRL goes beyond just the basics of his estranged relationship with son Prince Harry and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle. He doesn’t see them because the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures refuses to provide adequate security for Prince Harry and his family when they travel to the U.K. since he and his wife stepped down as senior royals.
They won’t even let Prince Harry pay for the additional costs himself. (And if you’re thinking, “da f*ck?” … same.) And maybe this is far too presumptious of me, but one would think that if anyone could change the situation, it would be the King.
So please excuse me while I roll my eyes at The Daily Mail’s insider saying, “[Charles] values family above everything and whatever the course of his -relationship with his son he would never be content with just seeing his grandchildren on the odd video call.”
Of course, King Charles III making the trip out to California might be difficult given the cancer treatment he’s been undergoing, and I can respect that, but it’s his fault that he’s only met the Sussex children — two of his five grandchildren — “a handful of times.”
Now, he’s reportedly “keener than ever” to “make up for lost time” and build a relationship with them.
So, once again, why doesn’t the sovereign at least vocalize his support Prince Harry in his plea for adequate security?
“The U.K. is my home,” Prince Harry said in a previous statement when fighting the courts over security concerns. “The U.K. is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the United States. That cannot happen if there is no possibility to keep them safe when they are on U.K. soil.”
“I can’t put my wife in danger like that, and given my experiences in life, I’m reluctant to unnecessarily put myself in harm’s way too,” he continued. Read: Given that his mom Princess Diana was tragically killed in part due to a lack of proper security, he won’t let history repeat itself.
