‘A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms’ ‘Game Of Thrones’ Prequel Adds 7 To Cast

HBO is rounding out cast for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, George R.R. Martin’s six-episode Game of Thrones prequel series, an adaptation of his novella The Hedge Knight, adding Edward Ashley (Masters of the Air), Henry Ashton (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, My Lady Jane), Youssef Kerkour (House of Gucci); Daniel Monks (Kaos); Shaun Thomas (How To Have Sex), Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Avengers: Infinity War) and Danny Webb (The Regime, The Dig).

They join previously announced Peter Claffey as Dunk; Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg; Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen; Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle; Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon and Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen.

Ashley will play Ser Steffon Fossoway; Ashton portrays Daeron Targaryen (the Daeron Targaryen in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a different Daeron from the one mentioned in HOTD); Kerkour is Steely Pate, Monks will play Ser Manfred Dondarrion, Thomas portrays Raymun Fossoway; Vaughan-Lawler is Plummer and Webb portrays Ser Arlan of Pennytree.

In the prequel, set a century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, na?ve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.

Martin serves as Co-Creator/Executive Producer with Ira Parker, who also serves as showrunner. Ryan Condal, Vince Gerardis, Sarah Bradshaw, and Owen Harris also executive produce.
