Here’s What You Need To Know About General Hospital’s Emmanuel Jalbert
General Hospital has had some exciting casting news lately as Parry Shen returned to reprise his role of Brad Cooper, and Kelly Monaco, who plays Sam, was let go. A few newcomers will appear soon, some of whom will participate in Lucky’s new storyline as Jonathan Jackson has also returned to the canvas. Among the people joining that story is Emmanuel Jalbert as a character named Gerard, so here’s what you need to know.
Things To Know
According to his IMDb page, Jalbert was born in Gatineau, Quebec, and at age five, his family moved to Boston, MA, where he realized he enjoyed playing football. He eventually attended the University of Rhode Island, but between his freshman and sophomore years, he dropped out to become an actor, which was a lifelong dream.
As an actor, his journey began in 2016, when he appeared in a string of short films and an uncredited role as a model in a 2019 episode of The Young and the Restless. He also appeared in TV shows such as The Folklorist, Buried in the Backyard, and Bloody Famous, among others. As a rising star, he’s also got a couple of TV movies in the works and will be a great addition to the GH cast.
Good Guy?
According to Soap Opera News, Gerard will be embroiled in the Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) storyline, which started off with a bang. Much like his father, Luke (Anthony Geary), the young Spencer has been going up against bad guys and recently infiltrated an as-yet unknown sinister organization to rescue someone he knows — a doctor named Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson). (Learn more about Lucky’s infiltration.)
Details about Gerard’s involvement in the story will have yet to be released, so we don’t know if he’s on Lucky’s side or the villains’. Either way, we’re excited to see some fresh faces on the show and look forward to seeing how his character will fit in with the rest of the Port Charles gang!
