Kodak Black Addresses Drug Use That Led To Bizarre Behavior On Kai Cenat’s Stream
Kodak Black is among the more popular rappers of his generation, but has had a hard time staying out of controversies. Recently, he joined Kai Cenat on a Twitch stream and had viewers concerned about his erratic behavior due to supposed drug use, which he addressed afterward.
“I take one perc and y’all be so f**king butthurt,” the 27-year-old said in response to the reactions fans had when it appeared he took a Percocet pill while on stream. “Y’all don’t like a ni**a anyway.”
Though fans seemed genuinely concerned and suggested he go to rehab, Black took their comments negatively and blocked many users. He even took another pill while addressing the pill controversy on Instagram Live.
“I’m just Yak, bro,” he continued. “Ain’t sh*t changed, that’s how I came in this bi**h. I wake up like this. If anything, give me drugs. Give me drugs, and I’ll chill. When I’m not high, when I ain’t higher than a bi**h, I’m vibing. When I’m high, I’m in my coma bruh, I ain’t talking to nobody ‘cuz I’m getting high.” He also dismissed users for being broke, hurt, and having “no motion.”
Kodak Black has been open about his Percocet addiction in the past, though he seemingly wanted to encourage people to not be like him. “I was chewing 100 Percs a day, man,” he said in June. “Average like 40. Average! If I was f**king with them fake sh*ts, bruh, I’d have been dead. Bruh, I say that, I’m explaining myself now. I don’t want y’all to hear that and take that and feel like it’s okay to do that sh*t, ya feel me?”
Lil Tjay recently stood up for Kodak and the comments about his drug use and behavior on Kai Cenat’s stream. “Stop looking at Yak like he a weirdo,” he said. “No, sometimes that’s how rappers act. In our society, that’s how we act.”
Despite the controversy, Yak has been going hard with music in 2024. He recently shared his EP Dieuson Octave, an eight-track solo effort highlighted by tracks like “Drive The Boat,” “Harlem Nights,” and “Inside I Suffer.” He also released a slew of singles this year, namely “Catch Fire,” “Hit Stick,” “Dis Time,” and “Stressed Out.”
