Kornel Mundruc?o’s ‘At The Sea’ Adds Brett Goldstein, Chloe East, Daniel Levy, Jenny Slate & Rainn Wilson
EXCLUSIVE: Pieces of a Woman‘s Kornel Mundruczó has five new additions to his new drama At the Sea, co-written with longtime collaborator Kata Wéber. They are Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso), Chloe East (The Fabelmans), Daniel Levy (Good Grief), Jenny Slate (Marcel the Shell with Shoes On), and Rainn Wilson (The Office).
As previously announced, Amy Adams and Murray Bartlett will also star. Production is now underway outside of Boston.

At the Sea follows the life of Laura (Adams) as she returns to her family at their holiday beach home following a long rehabilitation. There, she must readjust to the complicated life she left behind and face the next chapter without the career that gave her fame, fortune and, most importantly, identity.
Producers on the project include Alexander Rodnyansky of AR Content, Stuart Manashil of Novo Entertainment, Alex Lebovici and Jon Oakes of Hammerstone Studios, Viktória Petrányi and Mundruczó, and Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett of the Ryder Picture Company. Exec producers are Paul J. Diaz, Maria Breese of 3:33 Creative, Lee Broda of LB Entertainment, Jeff Rice of Jeff Rice Films, Michael Kupisk of AR Content, and Walter Josten and Patrick Josten of Blue Rider Pictures. Zsofi Oblath and Rachel Rubin are co-producing.
AR Content, Diaz, and Hammerstone Studios are financing the film, with WME Independent to rep domestic rights, Capstone Global handling international, and Sacker Law overseeing production legal.
Best known for his Emmy-winning performance as Roy Kent on the record-breaking Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, for which he was also a writer and co-EP, Goldstein is also the co-creator and EP of the acclaimed Apple TV+ comedy Shrinking, which recently wrapped production on its second season. Coming off headlining his first-ever standup comedy tour, The Second Best Night Of Your Life, which sold out venues across the U.S. and Canada with multiple-night runs, he’s also the host of the iHeartRadio award-winning podcast, Films to Be Buried With.
Next to be seen starring opposite Hugh Grant and Sophie Thatcher in the buzzy A24 thriller Heretic from A Quiet Place‘s Bryan Woods and Scott Beck, which hits theaters November 15, East most recently wrapped a supporting role in Kogonada’s A Big Bold Beautiful Journey and an arc on Liz Feldman’s forthcoming dark comedy, No Good Deed, for Netflix. Previously, she broke out with her love interest role opposite Gabrielle LaBelle in Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans.
An Emmy winner best known for co-creating and starring in the hit comedy Schitt’s Creek, Levy most recently directed, wrote, produced and starred in the Netflix dramedy Good Grief, which marked his feature debut. Also the creator, as well as host and judge for Max cooking competition series The Big Brunch, his upcoming acting credits include Paramount’s The Smurfs Movie and Legendary’s starry live-action/animation hybrid Animal Friends.
Known for starring in A24’s Obvious Child and Academy Award-nominated animated feature Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, Slate debuted her new comedy special Seasoned Professional on Prime Video in February. Most recently wrapping opposite Michelle Williams on FX’s new miniseries Dying for Sex, she releases her next book, Lifeform, on October 22.
Best known for his Emmy-nominated role of Dwight on The Office, Wilson can currently be seen in a supporting role in Tony Goldwyn’s Ezra and will next be seen starring opposite Lil Rel Howery in the paramedic action comedy Code 3. Recently, he also exec produced in the six-part travel docuseries Rainn Wilson and The Geography of Bliss for Peacock.
