Kourtney Kardashian Says Her Breakup From Scott Disick Gave Her Anxiety
Kourtney Kardashian says that working on her fitness has helped keep her mind off her breakup with longtime boyfriend and the father of her children, Scott Disick.
The 36-year-old reality star revealed to her mobile app subscribers on Monday that she got back into working out after giving birth to her son Reign, but soon found exercise as a coping mechanism for the hard times in her life.

"When I was pregnant with Reign, I knew that I was going to go hard at working out afterwards. I couldn't wait to feel strong and in shape again," Kourtney wrote in a blog post. "I didn't know that I would be going through a breakup and just an overall crazy year."
The mother-of-three said it was her breakup that brought on the anxiety. "Everyone deals with hard times in their lives differently. I'm generally not a nervous person but I get anxious," she said. "I also get nauseous and feel like I can't eat when it is really bad, but I force myself to stay healthy."

Kourtney says she tried to exercise five days a week to maintain a balanced lifestyle. "I usually start with a quick run or jumping rope to warm up. I have to do something fast to really kill it," she explained. "And I definitely need good music."
"People are very quick to judge others by appearances but you truly don't know what someone's motivation is or what is going on inside them," she added. "For me, exercise is as much about my body as it is about calming my mind."

Scott, 32, and Kourtney ended their nine-year relationship in July after he was photographed with another woman. Soon after, he checked himself into a rehab facility. On Sunday's Keeping Up With the Kardashians, he tearfully apologized to the family for his behavior.
"If I didn't have those kids, I would kill myself," Scott said. "But I have them and I'm going to be here and I'm going to make it right for them. I just hope that somehow … God can like, give me a chance or us a chance at this."
