Nobody Wants This: Kristen Bell and Adam Brody Strike Up an Unconventional Romance in Trailer for Netflix Rom-Com
Kristen Bell and Adam Brody are falling in love on Netflix this fall — and it’s a religious experience in every sense of the word.
The streamer on Thursday released a full trailer for Nobody Wants This, its upcoming rom-com series that respectively stars Bell (The Good Place) and Brody (The O.C.) as an agnostic podcast host and unconventional rabbi who hit it off at a party. “When they walk out — together — the unlikely pair, Joanne and Noah, can tell there is something between them,” the logline reads. But they’ll have to contend with “their differing outlooks on life, all of the modern obstacles to love, and their sometimes well-meaning, sometimes sabotaging families — including her sister Morgan and his brother Sasha.”

The series also stars Justine Lupe (Succession), Timothy Simons (Veep), Stephanie Faracy (True Colors), Tovah Feldshuh (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Paul Ben-Victor (The Wire), Michael Hitchcock (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Jackie Tohn (GLOW), Sherry Cola (Good Trouble), Emily Arlook (grown-ish) and Shiloh Bearman (Home Economics).
“This show is based on the only good decision I ever made: falling for a nice Jewish boy,” series creator and co-showrunner Erin Foster (The New Normal) said in a statement in May. “But I realized that being happy is way harder than being miserable (there’s nothing to complain about). So, I created this show based on all the ways that finding the right person can be so hard. Nobody Wants This, but we do, and that’s all that matters.”
Nobody Wants This premieres Thursday, Sept. 26, on Netflix with all 10 episodes. Watch the new trailer above, then hit the comments with your first impressions!
