Kristin Cavallari's Pal Justin Anderson Claims Southern Charm 's Madison LeCroy Is 'Making Stuff Up'

Southern Charm's Madison LeCroy Shares Her Old Texts with Jay Cutler: 'Too Bad It Didn't Work Out'

"Jay reached out to Madison and they spent time together," a source previously told PEOPLE about LeCroy and Cutler, who split from ex-wife Kristin Cavallari last April

Kristin Cavallari's best friend, celebrity hair colorist Justin Anderson, is speaking out amid drama between Southern Charm's Madison LeCroy and Jay Cutler.

On Saturday, Anderson shared a TikTok that was seemingly directed at LeCroy after she had referenced Cavallari, 34, and Cutler, 37 — who wed in 2013 and announced their split last April — in a recent Instagram Live video.

"it's the 'making something out of nothing' for me ???," he captioned the TikTok, who showed him sipping on an iced beverage.

Though he didn't mention LeCroy by name in the caption, his post included lyrics from Mia Sable's "It's Easy," which is the theme song to the reality star's Bravo show.

When fans asked Anderson about the meaning behind his post, he wrote in the comments section, "I'm talking about Madison using Kristin and Jay to try and get people's attention. It was never gonna work."

"If everyone stops saying Madison's name … she'll stop making stuff up for attention," Anderson wrote in another comment.

A spokesperson for Bravo, who can comment on LeCroy's behalf, did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. A representative for Cutler did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

A source previously told PEOPLE, "Jay reached out to Madison and they spent time together. She flew out to see him after filming the Southern Charm reunion last month."

On Sunday, LeCroy appeared to claim that she had a fling with Cutler, sharing screenshots of her alleged texts with the former Chicago Bears quarterback on her Instagram Stories.

In the first message, LeCroy — who lives in Charleston, South Carolina — asked Cutler, who lives in Nashville, "What are you coming here for? Cause you didn't tell me anything."

"To hang out with you," said Cutler, to which LeCroy responded, "Well you've got to ask me."

When Cutler asked LeCroy if she wanted to hang out next week, she said, "Ask me or tell me you already booked it."

"Don't stress about it," Cutler responded. "I brought the flight yesterday because it was the last direct one. If it doesn't work out I can change it to some other time." He then texted back, "Perfect."

Meanwhile, some online fans speculated that LeCroy had deleted some of her text message responses to Cutler before posting her "receipts" publicly.

In their second conversation, which seemingly occurred more recently, LeCroy's first message to Cutler read, "Why would I do that." Cutler responded, "It was insinuated and my name was also brought into it which I don't appreciate."

LeCroy replied, "Jay I've done nothing but respect you and your privacy. I respect you and I respect your family and I would never say anything to jeopardize you and your family."

"Didn't seem like that was the case," said Cutler. "Maybe it was accidental. I don't know. No one wants this mess. I appreciate you saying that. I think we can all respect each other and move forward. At the very least. "

Then, LeCroy said to Cutler, "I am disgusted by this whole situation. You reached out to me... Your intentions may have not been pure but that may be you projecting. I've never said anything about Kristin nor would I. I came into this honestly with good intentions. I want no part of being involved in a payback or drama. But you initiated and pursued. If you weren't interesting in something real you shouldn't have..." the text message said, with the next word being blocked out before it concluded, "with me."

"Kept my mouth shut until I got called a liar..." LeCroy captioned the post, before also sharing a selfie of herself and Cutler.

The Bravo personality's posts came days after Cavallari and Cutler — who share children Camden Jack, 8, Jaxon Wyatt, 6, and Saylor James, 5 — posted a photo together on Instagram, giving fans of the exes hope for a reconciliation amid their divorce.

"The world is full of users. 10 years. Can't break that," the pair captioned their posts.

At the time, fans speculated that the former couple had posted the matching photo and caption as a subtle response to LeCroy's Instagram Live session.

However, a source told PEOPLE that Cavallari and Cutler are not back together. "They are friends and single. They will always have each other's back no matter what," the source said.
