Kyanna Simone, Randall Park Join 20th Century Studios Thriller ‘Eenie Meanie’
EXCLUSIVE: Kyanna Simone (The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat) and Randall Park (Shortcomings) have been tapped for supporting roles alongside Samara Weaving and Karl Glusman in Eenie Meanie, 20th’s heist thriller from writer-director Shawn Simmons. Roles for the duo are under wraps.
The film centers on Edie (Weaving), a former teenage getaway driver who is dragged back into her unsavory past when a former employer offers her a chance to save the life of her chronically unreliable ex-boyfriend (Glusman). Produced by the Deadpool franchise’s Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the project is likely to premiere on Hulu, according to multiple sources.

Most recently, Simone finished shooting Searchlight’s The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat, where she stars opposite Uzo Aduba, Aunjanue Ellis, and Sanaa Lathan. Previously, she’s also been seen in films like Project Power, Ma, and HBO’s The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, where she played a young version of the character played by Oprah Winfrey. Additionally, she’s been seen on shows like Winning Time, American Horror Stories, All American and Grown-ish.
Most recently, Park has been seen in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Sony Pictures Classics’ Shortcomings, which marked his feature directorial debut, Amazon/Blumhouse’s Totally Killer and Universal’s comedy Strays. He voices a role in Netflix’s popular animated series Blue Eye Samurai and will next feature in Netflix/Shondaland’s The Residence and CBS Studios’ animated series Among Us, among other projects.
