Kyle Richards’ rodent scare
A reality star’s real-life rodent scare has gone viral.
“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards ratted herself out in a post to Instagram on Monday.
A video posted to the platform shows Richards scared inside her car saying, “Oh my God, oh my God,” over and over again as the camera shows her passenger-side window.
At first, it’s unclear what she’s freaking out about, then the camera pans to her driver-side window and you see a small mouse or rat sitting between the window and the side mirror.
She screams right away and yells out many expletives.
“Please help me, what is happening?” she exclaims. “Why is it looking at me like that?”
The “Halloween” actress further explained the situation in the caption.
“So this happened to me today. I stopped for coffee and was sitting in my car looking at emails,” she wrote. “Now, before you judge my reaction (yes, a disclaimer is coming) know that at first my passenger side window was DOWN and and I was afraid to put my car in reverse because my rear view mirrors would move potentially creating a worse scenario.”
Richards said she was “too afraid” to put her legs down and step on the gas pedal “in case there was a point of entry down there.”
“I also couldn’t feel my legs,” she said.
In the video, she tries tapping on the window to scare away the rodent as she doesn’t want to hurt it when the mirrors move.
Celebrities like Chrissy Teigen and fellow “RHOBH” castmates weighed in on the post.
“Oh my God, he’s so f—–g cute I’d die of happiness!!” wrote Teigen. “I’d also pretend it was a loved one who passed away coming to visit me lol.”
Richards’ castmate Sutton Stracke wrote, “Wait. No. No, it isn’t.”
The Encino resident’s husband, Mauricio Umansky, just commented with laughing emojis.
“I thought it was fake at first… haha,” wrote her sister, Kim Richards. “He looks very content riding along looking around poking at you!!! He does NOT EVEN LOOK SCARED!!”
Journalist Katie Couric asked the question we all had.
“Wait!!!! How did the story end????”
Richards did not explain how she was able to resolve the issue.
