Kylie Jenner shuts down paternity rumors in new Instagram photo with Travis Scott

Kylie Jenner is setting the record straight on her daughter’s heritage — no trip to Maury needed.

Since giving birth to Stormi Webster in February, the beauty mogul has been the subject of a conspiracy theory speculating that her former bodyguard, Tim Chung, might be the baby’s biological father. The rumors stem from some opinions that Stormi does not physically resemble her actual father, rapper Travis Scott.

Chung dismissed the theory as “disrespectful” and “ridiculous” in a recent Instagram post.

Now Jenner is addressing the controversy with one simple photo, captioned “Stormi’s parents.” The image shows her posing with her boyfriend, Scott, on the red carpet at the Met Gala this month.

While many fans applauded the reality star’s tactic for shutting down rumors, others continued to raise questions about 3-month-old Stormi’s background. Many of the comments — several of which accuse Jenner of cheating on Scott with Chung — are slut-shaming in nature. Others are racially insensitive, with trolls arguing that the child is too fair to have been fathered by a black man. (Chung is Asian.)

“Stormi does not look like Travis at all, unlike one of Kylie’s bodyguards, who looks a lot like this baby,” says one comment. “Is this a dubious thing?”

Jenner’s not the only one in her family who feels she needs to address paternity speculation. Half-sister and fellow new mother Khloé Kardashian has faced years of speculation that O.J. Simpson — who was represented in his murder trial by her father, Robert Kardashian — is her biological dad. The rumors resurfaced last week when Kardashian shared footage of her month-old daughter, True Thompson, with trolls claiming that the infant’s dark skin proved a Simpson bloodline.

Kardashian’s response: “I mean… her dad [NBA star Tristan Thompson] is black silly. That’s why she’s black, babe.”

Maybe these self-appointed genetics experts should take a break and let these mamas be?
