Kyra Sedgwick Sees Her and Husband Kevin Bacon's Younger Selves in Son Travis: 'Hungry and Striving' (Exclusive)

Kyra Sedgwick sees pieces of herself and husband Kevin Bacon in their son.
When speaking to PEOPLE at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her new film, Bad Shabbos, The Summer I Turned Pretty actress, 58, chatted about her son Travis ahead of his 35th birthday milestone.
Asked if she feels she sees any of herself or her actor husband in their son, Sedgwick says, "For sure."
“Oh my God, that's a good question,” she tells PEOPLE. “For sure. I mean, I think he's hungry and striving, and I think we were hungry and striving around that time.”

Sedgwick and Bacon, 65, are also parents to daughter Sosie, 31.
Bacon’s birthday also happens to be right around the corner, and the actress tells PEOPLE that her husband is definitely not a birthday person. “It's a drag because Father's Day happens right around Kevin's birthday… He hates his birthday, so it's Father's Day that's the best part.”
She continues to emphasize that there aren't any big plans in place to celebrate Bacon’s special day. “He hates his birthday. Really hates his birthday. The best thing would probably be if I forgot it,” Sedgwick jokes.

Last year, the Footloose actor spoke to PEOPLE about the time he spends with his wife and kids in the kitchen. The longtime couple have shared their love of cooking with their kids, but never in the technical sense.
"We really switch off. We love to cook and we love to eat. Cooking and eating together is something that we've always done as a family," Bacon told PEOPLE.
"Both of my kids are now... We never gave them lessons. We never sat down and said, "Okay, this is how you cook." But just in the course of life, they've ended up making great, great dishes, and they both really enjoy it," the proud dad shared.
