Did Lady Gaga just confirm her long-rumored engagement?

The singer is currently in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics, where she performed at the Opening Ceremony on Friday night and has been spotted watching events over the weekend.

More from The Hollywood Reporter

On Sunday, a video was posted on French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal’s TikTok with the caption, “Thank you Lady Gaga for your stunning performance at the opening ceremony. It was breathtaking.”

But that’s not why the clip is getting attention. In the video, taken at the venue where the swimming events are being held, with the pool visible in the background, Gaga can be seen giving Attal a hug in the stands. Immediately afterward, she turns to Michael Polansky, the entrepreneur and tech investor she’s been reportedly dating since roughly 2019 or 2020, and introduced him to Attal as “my fiancé.” Attal and Polansky then shake hands.

Reports that Gaga and Polansky were engaged first surfaced in April, when she was seen wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger.

The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Gaga’s reps for comment.

The singer was previously engaged to talent agent Christian Carino (they broke up in 2019) and actor Taylor Kinney (they broke up in 2016).

At the Opening Ceremony on Friday night, Gaga performed entirely in French. She sang the French-language song “Mon Truc en Plume” (“My Thing With Feathers”) while completing a choreographed routine with backup dancers. She also played the piano for part of the performance.

Her involvement in the Opening Ceremony had been rumored but unconfirmed until she took the stage on the River Seine in Paris. Her face was concealed by pom-poms before the dancers removed them to reveal her identity. According to the Associated Press, the performance was prerecorded earlier on Friday.
