Lainey Wilson's concert tour to stop at Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater in 2024
Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association award-winner and Billboard chart-topping breakout country star Lainey Wilson's "Country's Cool Again" tour will play Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater on May 31, 2024.
Via a press statement, the Baskin, Louisiana native stated, "I want to give a big thank you to all of the fans who have continuously showed up and showed out this year. We can't wait to see you nationwide on the 'Country's Cool Again' Tour!"
Wilson has multiple presales between Oct. 23-26, with Oct. 27's general sale occurring at 10:00 a.m. CT.
The 40-date nationwide tour starts in Music City and extends through November 2024. Acts including Ian Munsick, Jackson Dean and Zach Top join Wilson on various dates.
Wilson's Jelly Roll duet "Save Me" is poised to be her fifth country radio chart-topper in the past three years. Wilson will also play for three nights alongside another breakout star, country rocker HARDY, at Municipal Auditorium on Oct. 26, 27 and 28, 2023. She'll also welcome in 2024 at Centennial Park for the CBS-aired Nashville's Big Bash event.
HARDY and Wilson's pairing for the Aug. 2022-released "wait in the truck" is another one of Wilson's hits. The "murder ballad" tells the story of a hitchhiking woman who is a domestic abuse victim and has, in Wilson's mind, "[started] a conversation that a lot of people don't want to have. Still, it is our job as artists to sing about things that people are [sometimes] scared to talk about," she tells The Tennessean.
Wilson's been a critical figure along country music's confluence with amphitheater and arena-sized rock-star energy the past few years, with titles including "Things A Man Oughta Know," Cole Swindell duet "Never Say Never" and the power ballad "Heart Like A Truck" also all hitting the top of the charts.
"This new, exciting wave of country music is leaning into how so many country artists -- who grew up loving rock 'n' roll -- are crushing it by trusting the music that we grew up loving and respecting. That's making for dang good shows with some pizazz," Wilson stated to The Tennessean in March 2024.
