Lana Del Rey and Quavo Snuggle Up in the Countryside for New ‘Tough’ Music Video
Lana Del Rey and Quavo are in their coquette era in the sunny music video for their new collaboration, “Tough.” After teasing the song for weeks, the pair of hitmakers shared the song on Wednesday morning.
“Tough” starts with twangy guitar strings and begins with Del Rey’s verse while the trap beats of the song come in with Quavo’s first verse at the one-minute mark (“Come on, take a ride with me / Like the 808s beatin’ in the trunk in Atlanta, it was tough,” Quavo sings.)

The grainy music video is directed by Wyatt Spain Winfrey, the name behind some of the Migos’ most memorable music videos (“Why Not” and “Need It”). Winfrey has also directed videos for Rich the Kid and the late Drakeo the Ruler.
The video itself stars both musicians snuggling up and exploring the countryside. The pair sit together in a field of tall grass, and at one point, get close to sharing a kiss. Quavo can be seen driving, while Del Rey joins him in the passenger seat as other images of the country flash on screen.
The single was said to be a part of Del Rey’s incoming country album, “Lasso,” which the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter announced earlier this year. However, on YouTube, the song appears only on Quavo’s channel.
