The original track, released on May 29 via Sony Music Latin, is an infectious reggaetón and afrobeat fusion produced by Daramola where the  Panamanian and Venezuelan artists go back-and-forth on their feelings for each other. A new version delivered by Mr. Pauer and Aaar adds a captivating Afro Latin House tune with samba and soca vibes.

“I proposed a new version of ‘Orión’ to the label in a way that would work not only for me, but also for the community of global DJs who vibrate in this wave,” Venezuelan DJ Mr. Pauer tells Billboard. “These remixes are born from the need of artists like me who, although we live within the electronic music space, are totally connected to Latin rhythms and the Latin scene. My DJ sets are full of electronic versions of emblematic Latin tracks, now including ‘Orion.’”

Named after the constellation that’s visible in the winter sky, “Orion” — which was also named one of Billboard’s Best Latin Songs of 2024 (so far) — flew 17-4 on the Billboard Latin Pop Airplay chart, taking the Greatest Gainer honor of the week that’s awarded weekly to the song with the most audience impressions among the chart’s 40-deep entries. The song earned both acts their first top 10 list.
