Laura Dern opted for chic black slingback pumps while attending the Saban Community Clinic’s 48th Annual Gala at The Maybourne Beverly Hills, California on Nov. 11.
The “Big Little Lies” star opted for a pair of Prada’s satin cut-out pumps. Shining bright with its pristine look, the shoes were crafted with a glossy satin material, and featured an elaborate triangular design in the upper that was emphasized by its criss-cross design, curving ever-so-slightly as it reached the mid-foot region giving the illusion of having cut outs on the side. The pointy silhouette is also embellished by a tasteful jeweled ornament and a silver metal buckle.
The closed-back construction of the silhouette sturdily held the back of her feet in place, and the silhouette was completed by a short block heel and a screen-printed logo on the outward facing side of the shoe.
While the shoes were the standout of her ensemble, they also served as a compliment to her shimmery v-cut dress, which she accessorized with a light jacket overtop and a black leather clutch. Keeping makeup neutral, she wore long blonde locks in a side part style.
Pointed-toe pumps are now regarded as classic model that blend together elements of vintage and modern-day fashion. Many brands such as Stuart Weitzman, Jimmy Choo and Gucci offer a wide range of pointed-pumps throughout the season, and many celebrities including: Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Princess Beatrice, Doja Cat and plenty of others have been spotted wearing the style over the course of 2024 thus far. With the fall season quickly approaching, many are now opting to include the shoes within their daily wardrobe more often.
In fact, actress Rachel Zegler was spotted in a pair of Jimmy Choo pumps while at the New York City’s Paris Theater premiere of her latest film “Spellbound.” Donning a pair of the brand’s Stevie pumps, the shoes were designed in a D’orsay style, which meant the upper was separated into a front and back half with the midsection of the foot completely exposed. Crafted with patent leather and also boasting a sculpted, slightly flared of four inches, the silhouette was rounded out by a sparkly ankle strap.
