Laura Govan Explains Why She “Beat The Sh*t” Out Of “Jumpoff” Draya Michele
Laura Govan has come clean about putting hands on her Basketball Wives co-star, Draya Michele, revealing that she quietly hooked up with her ex-husband, Gilbert Arenas, while acting like a friend to her on the reality series.
During her recent sit-down with Carlos King, Govan recalled being told by Arenas — during a brief break-up — that a woman from Philadelphia performed oral sex on him in the back of a car, a story he went on to discuss with fellow athlete Nick Young, who was driving said vehicle.
While Govan was made aware of the situation, she was unaware that Draya was the woman in question, and took issue with the swimsuit designer attempting to be friends with her while knowing she hooked up with her ex.
“When I found out, it was because I was going through some papers at the house, and I saw that he had given her $25,000 and brought her to LA,” Govan explained. “I remember finding the paper, I remember calling my friend and telling her to pick up the kids for me…and I remember going to where she was filming in Hollywood…I remember showing up and I was not supposed to be filming, and I walked past everybody, and I beat the f**k out of her.”
She went on, “And it did not air. They did not want that to air….I picked her up by her pu**y and collarbone and threw her, and then I spit on her, and I was trying to get to her even after that. Am I proud of those things? Absolutely not. But, what you’re not going to do is be my friend, don’t be in my face! And from what I heard, you was suckin’ and f**kin’ him at the time!” Check out the clip below.
Arenas is now engaged to Melli Monaco after a Parisian proposal in August 2024, while Michele has welcomed a child with Jalen Green, an NBA star 17 years her junior.
