Lauren Graham’s TV ‘Daughter’ Is Pregnant & the Reunion Photo Is Perfect

Laruen Graham is going to be a TV “grandma” — again! One of her TV “daughters,” Alexis Bledel from Gilmore Girls, is mom to a baby boy, born in fall 2015. And now another one of her TV “daughters,” Mae Whitman from Parenthood, is pregnant!

Whitman (Amber Holt in the hit series) got together with her Parenthood mom Lauren Graham (Sarah Braverman) and brother Miles Heizer (Drew Holt) to announce her pregnancy. She shared a black-and-white photo of the trio, with Whitman lifting up her shirt to reveal a bare bump. Heizer sits next to her on the couch, and Graham stands behind them, with a hand on Heizer’s shoulder. It’s the Parenthood family reunion we never knew we needed, and it’s so, so cute!

“Not to make a parenthood episode out of it or anything but!!!” Whitman captioned the post. “Mother’s Day looking a little different this year! ????”

She added, “can’t wait to meet you, huge baby kicking my insides to filth! #ruveal

The Good Girls star also shared several snaps from Parenthood, when her character was pregnant on the show. A cast that remains this close — almost a decade after the series ended! — melts our hearts. In fact, it was just last year that Whitman told Vanity Fair, “Lauren is my guru, frankly.  I have this golden hotline to the most incredible advice.”

People were full of love in the comments.  Parenthood co-star Erika Christensen commented, “Hashtag ruveal lol AMAZING!!!!!! ??”

Amanda Seyfried wrote, “Ahhhh!!!!” Busy Phillips commented, “Love a hard launch??????.”

In 2021, Whitman revealed that she has endometriosis. The Up Here actress told PEOPLE, “I tried birth control and all the things that they said and my cramps were not normal. I went to so many doctors over the years. And I would just say, ‘What is it?’ First they would say period pain is normal. And I was like, ‘Okay, I’m barfing into the toilet seven times every single time.’”

This pain caused her to miss out on acting opportunities. “I had a particularly bad time where I ended up having to go to the emergency room. I thought I was dying, and I have a really, really high tolerance for pain,” Whitman said. “I couldn’t do a job on The Handmaid’s Tale because I was so sick. I had to give up a guest role, which I really wanted to do. I’d be laying half in and out of the shower, and an hour late for my call time, and barfing. And finally, I had to go to the hospital.”

Now she is in a much better place. “The day that I got the surgery was the best day of my life,” she told the outlet. “I’m so much better now, I’m a different person. It’s a long journey to recovery. There’s still elements of it, and I’ll have it forever. It’s kind of like my shadow, but now it’s like my friendly shadow. It’s been a really long journey, but I just hate the fact that there are people out there that are struggling with this, and feel alone, and feel like there’s no one else.”

After making it through such a big health struggle, I bet this pregnancy feels even sweeter to Whitman!
