Lauren Sanchez Makes Met Gala Debut With New Look and Stained Glass Oscar de la Renta Gown
Lauren Sanchez made her Met Gala debut with a new haircut and an Oscar de la Renta. The fiancée of Jeff Bezos attended the event’s 2024 edition on Monday in New York City.
Sanchez’s gown was inspired by Oscar de la Renta’s fall 2024 collection, which nodded to historical Art Nouveau. The collection featured stained-glass gowns created with a tessellation of individually dyed acrylic paillettes.

The paillettes created a floral mosaic on her black-and-white dress, which was strapless with a corset bodice.
On Sunday, Sanchez attended a pre-Met Gala dinner party with Jeff Bezos celebrating Monse’s founders Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, who also serve as creative directors at Oscar de la Renta. At the event, she wore a black bustier minidress made of sheer fabric with floral embroidery and ruching throughout.
Sanchez was styled by Emmy-winning stylist Kelly Johnson, who has worked with her many times before, including at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in February when Sanchez wore a dramatic red dress by Lever Couture. Johnson also works with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Tamera Mowry-Housley and Lisa Ann Walter.
