‘Law & Order: SVU’ Adds Juliana Aidén Martinez; Promotes Kevin Kane To Series Regular For Season 26
EXCLUSIVE: NBC’s Law & Order: SVU has added Juliana Aidén Martinez (Griselda) to its Season 26 cast as a new detective; Kevin Kane has been upped to a series regular as Det. Terry Bruno.
The new season begins Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Kane debuted in the role in Season 24, however, he has played other minor characters in seasons 9, 13, 17 and 20. He last appeared last season in episode 13.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit follows detectives from the Special Victims Unit as they investigate and prosecute sexually based crimes. Some episodes are loosely based on real crimes that have been ripped from the headlines.
The fight for justice never ends as Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and her squad provide a tireless voice for the voiceless. Benson’s compassion for victims and pledge to protect the innocent stand as a beacon of hope for all.
SVU also stars Ice T, Peter Scanavino and Octacio Pisano, among others.

Martinez is a Colombian-American actress best known for her breakout role in Netflix’s Emmy Award-nominated Griselda, opposite Sofia Vergara. She previously starred in the independent 2022 thriller Boundary, directed by Anthony Faust. Her other credits include 9-1-1, The Blacklist and Prodigal Son.
During her time at the Yale Drama School, Martinez was selected for Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad Mentorship Lab. She is repped by Innovative Artists, Anonymous Content and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
Kane co-stars in Hulu’s Life & Beth and also serves as director and executive producer. Additional TV credits include Bonding, Chicago P.D. and Inside Amy Schumer, where he won an Emmy, Peabody and TCA Award as a producer. His film credits include The Irishman, This Teacher, Trainwreck, I Feel Pretty, Snatched and Uncle Silas. He is repped by WME, Lasher Group and Schreck Rose Dapello Adams.
