Lead Singer of Lawrence Band Issues Bold Ask of Taylor Swift During Germany Eras Tour Stop
The lead singer of Lawrence the Band issued a bold ask of Taylor Swift during one of her Germany Eras Tour stops.
On Friday, July 19, the official TikTok account for Lawrence posted a video featuring its lead singer, Gracie Lawrence.
"Hey, Taylor Swift," Lawrence, 27, said to the camera, noting she is a member of the band with her brother, Clyde, and "six other guys."
"We're on tour right now in Europe at the same time you are. We're living in this bus, and we actually routed our off-days on tour to be able to go see the Eras Tour in Gelsenkirchen," she explained. "And we are all so genuinely thrilled and excited and grateful that we were able to make that happen."
That's when Lawrence made her unusual request for Swift.
"And also just wanted to ask if you had any laundry machines backstage because I've been out of clean underwear and socks," she said with a completely straight face. "And I just know that you're known for supporting female artists, and I just don't have any clean underwear."
She continued: "So, literally forget I asked. You're so busy. But yeah, we're just so excited for the show. I can't wait to see what the surprise songs are. And I'm also allergic to some detergents, but, um..."

In the comments, fans reacted to Lawrence's message. One wrote, "Gracie.....this is wild ?? I love this for you."
Another TikTok user petitioned Swift directly, commenting, "@Taylor Swift while Gracie is doing laundry backstage, you should totally bring her on stage and sing together. Two of the greatest voices out today would be epic."
Someone else echoed, "@Taylor Swift I meannnnn help a girl out."
"The way I would love my mind for a @Lawernce @Taylor Swift collab," another TikTok user shared.
Meanwhile, yet another fan admitted, "Officially more invested in what happens with this than I am with what the surprise songs are today or if she announces an album/video/single etc. This is PRIORITIES."
Swift is currently playing her final Gelsenkirchen, Germany, show on Friday, July 19 before heading to Hamburg—and so far, there's no word on whether Lawrence secured a washer and dryer, courtesy of the pop superstar.
