Led Zeppelin Shares Raw, Unreleased Version of ‘Trampled Under Foot’

Another rare unreleased Led Zeppelin track is here. 1975’s Physical Graffiti is celebrating its 40th anniversary on Feb. 24, and on that same day, a deluxe, remastered reissue of the LP will be available in a variety of formats. From that collection, a previously unreleased version of “Trampled Under Foot” has hit the Internet.

This version is from the Physical Graffiti demo days, when it was titled “Brandy and Coke.” The instruments are dialed down in this version, giving more space to Robert Plant’s vocals than the final version. But what do you think? How does it compare to the album cut?

Led Zeppelin Shares Unreleased Demo of ‘Houses of the Holy’

The bonus second disc in the Physical Graffiti reissue contains rough mixes of “In My Time of Dying” and “Houses of the Holy,” and alternate takes of “Sick Again,” “Boogie With Stu,” “Kashmir” (titled “Driving Through Kashmir”), and “In the Light.” It’s available in digital, double CD, vinyl, and a deluxe box set, which includes a hardcover 96-page book and a print of the album cover.
