Comedy icon Chevy Chase is coming to Peoria later this year for a special screening of the classic holiday film, "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."

The Peoria Civic Center will host a 35th anniversary screening of “Christmas Vacation” on Monday, Dec. 16 after which there will be a question-and-answer session with the actor and comedian. He will attend the screening with his wife, Jaymi.

"An Evening with Chevy Chase" is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. A live conversation and Q&A session will follow the film. Chevy and Jaymi will share behind-the-scenes experiences and personal anecdotes about the making of the 1989 film, which has grown into a Christmas classic.

Chase, 80, was an original cast member of groundbreaking television hit "Saturday Night Live," for which he won two Emmy Awards. He had a string of comedy hits in the 1980s, including "Caddyshack," "Fletch," and the popular "Vacation" movie series. He also has hosted the Academy Awards and had a short-lived talk show.
