Leighton Meester, Quenlin Blackwell Join Rachel Sennott’s HBO Comedy Pilot (EXCLUSIVE)
Leighton Meester and Quenlin Blackwell have both been cast in guest star roles in Rachel Sennott’s HBO comedy pilot, Variety has learned exclusively.
The two will appear alongside Sennott in the pilot as well as cast members Odessa A’zion, Jordan Firstman, Miles Robbins, and True Whitaker. The pilot was picked up at HBO back in March.

The official logline for the show states, “A codependent friend group reunites, navigating how the time apart, ambition, and new relationships have changed them.”
Meester is best known for starring in the hit CW series “Gossip Girl” throughout its six-season run. Her recent TV roles include the ABC comedy “Single Parents” and “How I Met Your Father” at Hulu. She also recently starred in the remake of “River Wild” alongside her husband Adam Brody and “Single Parents” co-star Taran Killam, as well as films like “The Judge” and “By the Gun.”
She is repped by UTA and The Lede Company.
Blackwell will make her professional acting debut in the pilot. She is a social media star and influencer, with 9.8 million followers on TikTok, 2.3 million followers on Instagram, and nearly 1.5 million subscribers on her YouTube channel.
She is repped by WME, Nixon Peabody and 3Arts Entertainment.
In addition to starring, Sennott will serve as writer and executive producer on the pilot. Lorene Scafaria will direct and executive produce, with Emma Barrie and Aida Rodgers also executive producing.
Sennott has previously appeared in HBO shows like “The Idol” and “High Maintenance.” She recently co-starred in and co-wrote the 2023 comedy feature “Bottoms,” with “The Bear” breakout Ayo Edebri also starring. She and Edebri previously worked together on the Comedy Central series “Ayo and Rachel are Single.” Sennott’s other acting credits include “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies” and “Shiva Baby.”
