Each year, Target reveals a new large-scale Halloween character to deck out yards across America; and after last October’s viral success of Lewis the Pumpkin Ghoul, the retailer is doing a re-release for the first time ever.

Lewis, an eight-foot tall speaking jack-o’-lantern ghoul, took national news and social media by storm last year, gaining over 34 million views on the #MyNameIsLewis hashtag on TikTok in under two weeks. The Smashing Pumpkins even featured Lewis in an Instagram Reel. Within the first week of his 2023 social media debut, the sassy talking pumpkin was completely sold out.
Now, Lewis has returned to get the spooky season started a little early. Retailing for $180, you can shop the social media star at Target.com ahead of his arrival in stores late August. And if it’s anything like last year, Lewis will likely be sold out within days.

Alongside Lewis, Target has created a full crew of pumpkin and skeleton figures aptly titled “Lewis & Friends,” including a 70-Inch singing pumpkin-skeleton hybrid named Rocker Billy ($150), Bruce The Skeleton Ghoul, a Little Lewis ($30) and even a Baby Lewis ($10). Target also released another pumpkin ghoul named Lewcy, who’s sadly already sold out online.
Larger-than-life-sized lawn figures have become quite the trend in Halloween decor. The Home Depot’s 12-Foot Skelly — famously seen in the home of Kourtney Kardashian Barker — dropped just last week and is already sold out online (as is his accompanying seven-foot skeleton dog).
It seems like Halloween stock-ups are happening earlier and earlier each year. (The Disney Store’s new Haunted Mansion merch has also been selling like crazy.) Check out Target’s full collection of festive decor and costumes at Target.com and be sure to snag your very own Lewis before he’s gone for good.
