HOT PICK
Friday
Comedy: Lewis Black has titled his current tour “Goodbye Yeller Brick Road,” also described as “The Final Tour.” But is the comedian retiring? Not exactly. Black told Pollstar “It’s just a career adjustment. Touring is not my whole life. I just can’t continue the way the landscape of touring has changed since I started.”
Known for his comedic yelling on his frustrations with the political climate and his personal life, Black also appears regularly on “The Daily Show” and had roles in films such as “Accepted” and “Man Of The Year.” He’s also had voice roles in the animated TV shows “Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” and as Anger in the Pixar-animated films “Inside Out” and “Inside Out 2”
Black will perform on Friday at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa.
If you go: 8 p.m. Friday, Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa, 32-250 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage. $40 to $100. aguacalientecasinos.com

He eventually joined several Mexican bands including La Original Banda El Limón and made his solo debut in 1997 with “Aqui Me Quedare.” Some of his renowned singles include "Piquites de Hormiga,” “Me Dicen El Coyote,” “Cuando Regreso a Tus Brazos” and more.

Tribute: It’s safe to say that no amount of money offered to Swedish pop band ABBA will ever reunite them after turning down a $1 billion offer in 2000. But there are many musicians paying homage to the band and keeping songs such as “Dancing Queen,” “Money, Money, Money,” “Take A Chance On Me” and more alive.
On Thursday, the tribute band Direct from Sweden: The Music of Abba will perform at Spotlight 29 Casino.
If you go: 7 p.m. Thursday, Spotlight 29 Casino, 46-200 Harrison Place, Coachella. Tickets $21.65. spotlight29.com
Friday
Mexican: Los Tigres del Norte is one of the most prominent Mexican bands, have sold over 30 million records around the globe and won seven Grammy Awards and 12 Latin Grammy Awards. The band started in the 1960s in the city of Los Mochis in Sinaloa, Mexico with three brothers: Jorge, Raul and Hernan Hernandez (who come from a family of 11 children) and their cousin Oscar Lara.
After the 1974 release of their fifth album, "Contrabando Y Traición," ("Contraband and Betrayal") the title song exploded in popularity on both sides of the border. The song is a fictional account of a drug-smuggling couple that travels from Tijuana to Los Angeles, and ends in murder.
Los Tigres del Norte will perform on Friday at Acrisure Arena.
If you go: 8 p.m. Friday, Acrisure Arena, 75-702 Varner Road, Palm Desert. Tickets start at $77.10. acrisurearena.com
Pop: The original "Jersey Boy" Frankie Valli and his band the Four Seasons are playing "The Last Encores." Even though the 90-year-old singer has been accused of lip-syncing and fans speculate he's a victim of elder abuse by being forced to perform. In a statement to People, Valli said "I am blessed to be 90 years old and still be doing what I love to do and as long as I am able, and (while) audiences want to come see me, I am going to be out there performing as I always (do)."
Valli and the Four Seasons will perform on Friday at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.
If you go: 8 p.m. Friday, Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, 84-245 Indio Springs Parkway, Indio. Tickets $72 to $103. fantasyspringsresort.com
