Lewis Hamilton Dons Custom Timberland Boots Adorned With Swarovski Crystals For F1 Grand Prix
More from Footwear News
Lewis Hamilton made a fashion statement heading into the F1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas on Nov. 22 with special shoes paying homage to the city where the racing competition unfolded.
Hamilton rocked a pair of custom Timberland boots made in collaboration with Swarovski. Gradient red crystals spell out the name ‘Las Vegas’ in looping script across the side of the shoes, which were made especially for Lewis to wear to the sporting event. The design was applied to the brand’s 6-Inch Boots, the classic style featuring a leather upper and padded collar.
Hamilton paired the shoes with a sequined outfit including slouchy straight-leg pants and a letterman jacket bearing an ‘H’ on the front. The British racer is no stranger to a high fashion look — just last week, he attended the Los Angeles premiere of “Gladiator II” wearing a sleeveless Balmain top with dramatic lapels. Additionally, he founded the brand +44, which celebrated the launch of its first collection in July (he wore Dior shoes at the event.) He’s in the footwear design world as well, having recently collaborated with Dior on the 2000s-inspired B44 Blade sneaker, which is limited-edition and retails for $1,400.
In other Timberland news, the brand recently released its Leather Espresso Collection, which features boots of many heights in a deep brown color. In September, Timberland launched the “Iconic” campaign celebrating the 6-Inch Boot, with Naomi Campbell, Teddy Swims, Slawn and Kai-Isaiah Jamal featured in it.
