Liam Payne’s Girlfriend, Who Left Argentina Days Before His Death, Breaks Silence
Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, is breaking her silence following the singer’s tragic death. In an Instagram Story Friday, the content creator, who left Payne in Buenos Aires just a few days before the One Direction member died, shared that she has been at a “complete loss” since learning of his death.
“Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way. I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days [has] felt real,” Cassidy wrote. “I ask and pray that you’ll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private.”

Cassidy then directed a message to Payne. “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely,” Cassidy wrote. “I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you, Liam.”
Over the weekend, Cassidy was captured in Snapchat posts shared by Payne, where he wrote they were having a “lovely day” and “enjoying coffee and breakfast” in the late morning. In another post, the singer shared that the two were spending “quality time” together.
In a TikTok video posted to her account on Monday, two days before Payne’s death, Cassidy vlogged her journey from Argentina to Florida, where she went after spending several weeks with the One Direction member. She even shared that she left her Squismellow plush for the singer.
“I was so ready to leave,” Cassidy says in the voiceover. “Honestly, loved South America but I hate staying in one place for too long. And we were supposed to be there for, like, five days, turned into two weeks. I was just like, ‘I need to go home.'”
On Thursday, the prosecutor’s office in Argentina shared a post-autopsy report revealing that the former One Direction member, 31, died of multiple traumas, internal and external bleeding, and a cranial injury as a result of his fall from the third story of the CasaSur hotel in Palermo.
