Liam Payne had toxic cocktail of drugs in his system — including crack and ‘pink cocaine’ — at time of death: report
Troubled former One Direction crooner Liam Payne had a toxic mixture of drugs in his system at the time of his death in Argentina last week — including crack and so-called “pink cocaine,” according to a new report.
The 31-year-old died instantly of massive internal and external injuries when he took his fatal fall from his hotel balcony, with experts at the time telling The Post that the singer appeared unconscious as he plummeted to the courtyard below.
In addition to the pink cocaine, also called Tusi — a combination of methamphetamine, ketamine and ecstasy — the drugs detected in his bloodstream through toxicology screening included benzodiazepine, crack, and cocaine, ABC News reported Monday.
The outlet said a makeshift aluminum pipe for ingesting the substances was also found nearby.
Witnesses also said Payne was acting erratically in the hours before his death — including smashing his laptop and offering a mystery woman $20,000.
A frantic hotel manager called police in Buenos Aires shortly before his death, alerting them that someone under the influence of drugs and alcohol was trashing the room and potentially endangering his life.
Photos from the pop star’s hotel room showed evidence of drug use including charred bits of aluminum foil and what appeared to be a powdery substance on a table.
Pink cocaine rose to prominence in New York City’s club scene over the summer, even reportedly enjoyed by disgraced hip-hop mogul Diddy.
The synthetic drug cocktail has reportedly been smuggled into the US and peddled on Big Apple street corners by members of the brutal Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.
Hundreds of heartbroken fans flooded Washington Square Park on Saturday night for a mass vigil to honor and remember the British singer.
Payne’s influencer girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, 25, had reportedly been with the former boy band member for a couple’s respite in Argentina but returned to Florida two days before his tragic death.
His former bandmates issued a joint statement soon after the news of his death broke.
“We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing,” read the statement from Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, which was obtained by The Post on Thursday.
