Liam Payne and Naomi Campbell Flirt on Instagram: ‘Perfection in a Person’

Could Naomi Campbell and Liam Payne be the latest celebrity couple of 2019?

After the 48-year-old supermodel shared a selfie from the Louis Vuitton Fall Winter fashion show in Paris to her Instagram account on Friday, the former One Direction bandmate took the opportunity to leave a flirty comment.

“Perfection in a person…don’t give me those eyes,” Payne, 25, wrote, along with a rose and kissing face emoji.

But it appears Campbell may have made the first move as she commented “Beautiful soul” under Payne’s steamy shirtless photo that he posted to Instagram on Jan. 15.

In response, Payne wrote back to Campbell, “takes one to know one.” Instagram account Comments by Celebs captured the flirty exchange.

Fans took to Twitter to express their opinions about the possible romance brewing between the two British stars, with one user writing, “never in a million years would i have thought THE liam payne and THE naomi campbell would cross paths romantically.”

While a lot of fans seem to be confused about their pair, others seem excited. “IS LIAM REALLY OUT HERE DATING NAOMI CAMPBELL?????? LEGENDS ONLY!!!!,” one Twitter user wrote.

Payne split from ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole in July after more than two years of dating. The pair share a one-year-old son, Bear, and both released a statement on Twitter announcing their split. “Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It’s been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together,” Payne wrote at the time.

Though Campbell has been engaged twice — first to U2 bassist Adam Clayton and then to Italian businessman Flavio Briatore — she has never been married. Most recently, Campbell was linked to U.K. rapper Skepta.
