Lily Collins Celebrates 3-Year Wedding Anniversary with Husband Charlie McDowell: 'The Greatest Gift'
The actress and filmmaker tied the knot in 2021 with a dreamy ceremony in Colorado
Lily Collins is celebrating the three years of laughter and love since she married her husband, Charlie McDowell on Sept. 4, 2021.
The Emily in Paris star took to Instagram to commemorate the milestone, sharing black-and-white photos of them smiling in matching jeans and t-shirts. Collins, 35, also paid tribute to their love story with a heartfelt caption.
"Happy anniversary to the man who makes me laugh harder than anyone. Three years held in your arms has been the greatest gift," the actress began.
Nodding to the trio of professional taken pictures, she continued, "Barefaced and in a basic tee, you make me feel like the most special human on the planet. I adore you @charliemcdowell. More than I know how to say. Here’s to countless incredible moments together (plus twinning photoshoots). And to think, the best is still to come…"
McDowell, 41, also shared two sweet shots from the same photoshoot. "Happy third anniversary to the best person there is," his caption read. "Love you so much @lilyjcollins. ?? to many more laughing fits."

In reply, Collins commented, "Many many more," and added a complimentary postscript: "Ps/- please model more ????."
The couple — who began dating in 2019 — received hundreds of supportive comments wishing them well, including a few congratulations from their famous friends. Collins' Emily in Paris costar, Ashley Park, gushed about the couple under both of their Instagram posts.
"An honor to watch you grow and blossom and thrive through so many beautiful and profound chapters of life. ??????," she wrote on Collins' post. To McDowell's set of photos, Park responded, "Couldn’t be prouder to know and love and witness you both on this journey of life. So proud of your partnership and grateful for your kinships ??."
Collins married the filmmaker — whose parents are actress Mary Steenburgen and actor Malcolm McDowell — in Dunton, Colo. with a fairytale-inspired ceremony about one year after they got engaged.
The Mirror, Mirror star also took to Instagram to share some romantic sentiments after the proposal in 2020. Alongside a selfie centering her unique ring — a rose-cut diamond with a bezel setting and thin gold ban — Collins wrote, "I've been waiting my lifetime for you and I can't wait to spend our lifetime together..."
