Lily Collins Exposes Classic Leather Pumps in Hip-High Slit Versace Gown After ‘Barcelona’ in London
More from Footwear News
Lily Collins is no longer “Emily in Paris,” she is now Irene in “Barcelona.” The actress is making her stage debut in a new play on the West End entitled “Barcelona.” Last night, she did a press preview of the project and celebrated with friends after. For the celebration, Collins wore a Versace fall 2024 viscose cady draped gown. The gown had a slit that reached as high as her thigh, revealing her tights as well as her shoes.
The footwear was a pair of classic pumps. Made out of black leather, likely kid leather, the shoes feature a sharply pointed toe. The footwear also includes a low cut straight vamp and a high back counter. The stiletto heel is likely around four inches.
It is unclear what brand the heels are from. They might be from Manolo Blahnik — Collins has worn the label before. The shoes she wore to the “Barcelona” event are a dead ringer for Blahnik’s black nappa leather BB pumps. The shoe could also be pumps from Gianvito Rossi or even the popular Jimmy Choo Romy. All have the tan lining that is visible on the shoes Collins is wearing. They all also boast a tan sole. All three brands also offer the heels for $795.
Black pointed-toe pumps are some of the most classic heels a woman can wear. They come in a variety of heights as well as fabrications. Som wear them in suede or velvet, and others wear them in patent leather or nappa leather. Brands often add small, nuanced tweaks to differentiate theirs from other brands. This can include lower cut vamps, increasingly angular silhouettes, logos on the back counter, and more. Some even experiment with the heel itself or, like Louboutin, rely on the color of the sole.
This year, Collins has worn a series of dark looks while off screen. For shoes this has meant a pair of burgundy Saint Laurent pointed-toe strappy shoes while heading to press events in Times Square. She also wore a pair of sparkling pumps from Versace while at The Paley Museum. Those pumps included an embellished ankle strap with a Medusa medallion.
