The Lincoln Lawyer will be pulling back up to the curb this fall.

The streamer also released a bevy of photos, a curated few of which can be seen above and below — including one of Mickey with first ex-wife Maggie in the season premiere. (Notably, as reported a year ago, Neve Campbell did not return for Season 3 as a seres regular.)
Based on the Michael Connelly novels and created for television by David E. Kelley, The Lincoln Lawyer follows the aforementioned Mickey, an iconoclastic idealist who runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, taking on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez serve as co-showrunners.
Here is everything we know about Season 3 thus far, including all new and returning characters, the killer storyline and more. …
Which Michael Connelly Novel Is Season 3 Based On?
Season 3 of Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer is based on The Gods of Guilt, author Michael Connelly’s fifth novel to feature the Mickey Haller character.
First published in December 2013, The Gods of Guilt follows Haller as he takes on the case of Andre La Cosse (named Julian on the TV series and played by Devon Graye), a “digital pimp” who allegedly murdered Gloria Dayton (Tracker‘s Fiona Rene), an old friend of Mickey’s.
Who Is Returning for Season 3?
In addition to Manuel Garcia-Rulfo returning in the title role, Season 3 also brought back as series regulars Becki Newton as Mickey’s second ex-wife Lorna, Jazz Raycole as driver Izzy Letts, Angus Sampson as Lorna’s investigator fiancé Dennis “Cisco” Wojciechowski, and Yaya DaCosta as criminal prosecutor Andrea “Andy” Freemann.
On a recurring or guest star basis, former series regular Neve Campbell will appear as Maggie, Elliott Gould is back as Mickey’s mentor David “Legal” Siegel, Devon Graye is back as Julian La Cosse, Fiona Rene will be seen again as Gloria Dayton, and Jon Tenney will reprise his role as Mickey Sr.
Who Is New for Season 3?
On a recurring or guest star basis, the new faces include Merrin Dungey (as Judge Regina Turner), John Pirruccello (as prosecutor William Forsythe), Wolé Parks (as David Lyons, Julian La Cosse’s longtime partner), Michael Irby (as DEA Agent James De Marco), Maisie Klompus (as Annabeth Stephens, a neighbor of the late Giselle Dallinger), Allyn Moriyon (as fitness buff/possible client Eddie Rojas), Philip Anthony-Rodriguez (as Chief Deputy District Attorney Adam Suarez) and Krista Warner (as Mickey and Maggie’s daughter Hayley).
Will Neve Campbell Be Back as Maggie, or Not?
It was reported back in August of 2023 that Campbell, who played Mickey’s first ex-wife Maggie, a criminal prosecutor, was not returning as a series regular — partly because of how Season 2 ended, but also because her character is not a part of the novel on which Season 3 is based.
Campbell does, however, appear in one of the first-look photos for Season 3 (from the premiere, above).
When Will Season 3 Premiere? And How Many Episodes?
As stated above, Mickey Haller will tackle “his most difficult case yet,” the official synopsis tells us, on Thursday, Oct. 17, when Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer drops on Netflix.
As with Seasons 1 and 2, the new batch will span another 10 episodes.
Has The Lincoln Lawyer Been Renewed for Season 4 Yet?
Ha, not just yet (as of press time).
Season 2 was ordered one month after the first season dropped on Netflix, and Season 3 was similarly greenlit some four weeks after Season 2 came out. So, barring an utterly boffo debut for Season 3 come Oct. 17, don’t look for a Season 4 order until mid-November or so — if it gets renewed again, of course.
