Lindsay Lohan hospitalized after car accident; returns to 'Liz & Dick' set late Friday

UPDATED: A Lifetime spokesman says Lindsay Lohan returned to the set of Liz & Dick late Friday.

Lindsay Lohan has been hospitalized after a car accident this afternoon, People has confirmed. TMZ first reported the story, saying that the actress was brought to the hospital for testing after her Porsche collided with a truck.

“She was driving northbound … and she collided with a large dump truck,” Santa Monica Police Sgt. Richard Lewis told People. “There were no injuries to the parties in the dump truck.”

According to the report, Lohan complained of minor pain and there were injuries to the passenger in her car. “Gratefully it’s not worse,” Lewis said. “When you have a larger vehicle and a smaller vehicle involved in a collision, those can be devastating sometimes.”

The 25-year-old actress has been recently generating headlines for filming an Elizabeth Taylor biopic for Lifetime. “We are concerned for the well-being of Lindsay and anyone else who might have been involved in the accident. She has been doing fantastic work on the set of Liz and Dick. We have no further details,” a spokesperson for Lifetime told EW.

As of press time, Lindsay’s rep did not return EW’s request for comment.
