No Good Deed follows Lydia (played by Kudrow) and Paul (Romano) as they move out of their empty nest to restart their life. “They list their gorgeous 1920s Spanish-style villa located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Los Angeles — and the real estate frenzy begins,” according to the official synopsis. “Multiple families all race to buy what they believe to be their dream house, convinced it will fix all of their very different problems. But as Lydia and Paul know all too well, sometimes the home of your dreams can be a true nightmare. As they struggle to hide the dark and dangerous secrets that linger inside their longtime home, Paul and Lydia begin to realize that the only way they’ll escape the past is to finally face it.”
In addition to Kudrow and Romano, the series stars Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me) as Margo Starling, a perfectly coiffed status-seeker with buried secrets to spare; Luke Wilson (DC’s Stargirl) as JD Campbell, a depressed, out-of-work soap star who needs to downsize; Teyonah Parris (The Marvels) as Carla, a high-achieving and somewhat sardonic architect and expectant mother; Abbi Jacobson (Broad City) as Leslie Fisher, who is thrilled to discover the Los Feliz home she and her wife have admired from afar is finally on the market; and Poppy Liu (Hacks) as Leslie’s soulful, grounded and uncompromisingly decent wife Sarah. O-T Fagbenle (Presumed Innocent) and Denis Leary (Rescue Me) star as Dennis and Mikey, respectively.
In addition to creating No Good Deed, Feldman also serves as showrunner on the eight-episode series, and will executive-produce alongside Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, Christie Smith, and Silver Tree (who will direct the pilot and additional episodes).
