Lisa Marie Presley marked her 53rd birthday on Monday — the first since the death of son Benjamin Keough — and she thanked her three daughters for getting her through the difficult year.

“Thank you for all of the overwhelming birthday wishes from everyone,” the singer wrote. “Like everyday, I couldn’t have made it through without these three by my side.”

Presley, who grew up between her father's estate, Graceland, in Memphis, Tennessee and Beverly Hills, California, found her voice away from American soil in the green suburban county of Sussex in England. Her new album "Storm and Grace," which harks to Presley's country rock roots, came to life at the hands of British producers and Grammy-winning country musician T-Bone Burnett in London. Presley’s only son, with first husband Danny Keough, died by suicide in July at age 27. At the time, her spokesperson said, “She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated, but trying to stay strong for her [daughters].”

In October, Presley — the only child of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley — broke her silence on what would have been her “beautiful beautiful angel” son’s birthday.

“I worshipped the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven,” she wrote. “My heart and soul went with you. The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day. I will never be the same.”

She continued, “Please wait for me my love, and hold my hand while I stay to continue to protect and raise your little sisters and to be here for Riley. I know you would want that. Happy Birthday my sweet sweet Boy. You were much too good for this world.”

In December, Presley’s nasty and drawn-out custody battle with ex-husband Michael Lockwood over their twins finally concluded when she was granted joint custody. Presley had filed for divorce from Lockwood, her fourth husband, in 2016.
