Lisa Rinna Celebrates Birthday at Self-Portrait Summer Party With Barbara Palvin, Kelly Rutherford and Edward Enniful
Reality TV royalty and fashion show front-row fixture Lisa Rinna celebrated her 61st birthday with a giant cake that required three men to carry at the Self Portrait summer party in London Thursday night.
The two-layer cake in pink, decorated with yellow whipped cream around the edges and giant bow-shaped icing at the top, was made by Lily Vanilli, a baker in East London. She is known for over-the-top cakes for special occasions.

Self-Portrait Diversifies Offering, Adds Fashion Jewelry Range
Held at the revamped Kensington Roof Gardens, which was reopened this year as a private members’ club after a six-year hiatus, with a view of the London skyline and lush vegetation, the annual bash has become a fixture on the London social calendar before everyone jets off to Greece or elsewhere for their summer holiday.
At the party, Rinna was surrounded by Self-Portrait’s top model squad, which included Barbara Palvin, Soo-Joo Park and Ikram Abdi, all dressed in new-season looks, singing “Happy Birthday” and dancing to DJ sets chosen by Benji B.
Other guests included Christopher Kane, Robert Wun, Sohee Park, Leonie Hanne, Ahalolo, Hana Cross, Zara Martin, Sophia Hadjipanteli, Eve, Nadine Leopold and Edward Enniful, who continues to work the social circuit and mingling with King Charles, Naomi Campbell and Lionel Richie after stepping aside as editor in chief of British Vogue.
Downstairs, the powder room later in the night became a mini party of its own. Drag performers such as Diamond Peach Lollipop, Le Fil, Dakota Schiffer and Starlet were posing in front of mirrors, while a tattoo station was in operation right next to it. One guest declared she wanted the brand’s initials tattooed on her chest.
This year’s dress code was sultry evening numbers meet sparkly accessories, as the brand has just introduced its first fashion jewelry collection.
Priced between 95 pounds and 200 pounds, the collection includes sparkling statement earrings, chunky gold bangles, and crystal bow brooches made with 18-karat plated gold and 18-karat white-plated gold.
Guests including Kelly Rutherford, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Mary Charteris and Emma Weymouth creatively mixed jewelry elements with their looks for the night.
Rutherford, for example, matched her Self-Portrait diamanté dress with a pair of sparkly silver earrings, and an equally radiant bow bag. Charteris, meanwhile, styled her red dress with chunky bracelets and statement rings, adding a dash of punk attitude to the look. Weymouth matched a sequined strapless gown with a rhinestone clutch and crystal embellished bow earrings.
Han Chong, founder and creative director of Self-Portrait, said the annual summer party serves as a chance for the brand to “collectively honor what makes London so special and allows us to bring together all of the people that mean so much to us.”
He said he tries to evolve the summer party every year to capture the spirit of the moment, and this year was about where it all started.
“I started Self Portrait because I want to make people feel relaxed, and like the best versions of themselves, and above all else, to have fun,” added Chong.
