This A-List Couple Is Reportedly Stressed Over Their Friendship With Sean 'Diddy' Combs
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal woes amid the federal Homeland Security Investigation raid last week might have this A-list Hollywood couple sweating a bit. Even though they have not been accused of any wrongdoing, their friendship with the controversial music mogul may lead to a subpoena to help with the investigation.
Ashton Kutcher has been pals with Combs for several decades, and now, his wife, Mila Kunis, is reportedly asking him to cease all contact because of the sex-trafficking allegations, according to the Daily Mail. “There is no way in hell Ashton or Mila will be showing any sort of public support for Diddy right now,” an insider told the media outlet. “Regardless of Ashton’s long history with him, he has distanced himself from Diddy since Cassie’s [Ventura] lawsuit, and even more so in the wake of the new ones. Mila will not let Ashton be in any sort of contact. He is expecting a subpoena as they have been good friends for 20 years.” Kutcher’s friendship with Combs dates back to his MTV days when he hosted the show, Punk’d, in 2003.

This news shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who had followed the Danny Masterson rape conviction last year. The duo came under fire for writing letters of support for their fellow That ’70s Show co-star in hopes a lighter sentence even though he was found guilty of two rape charges. The backlash was huge after Kutcher and Kunis praised Masterson for always treating “people with decency, equality, and generosity.”
The couple issued a public apology video that also backfired even though they claimed that they “support victims” — it was easy to see how horrified they were that their letters were released. The outcry led Kutcher and Kunis to take a break from the public eye and reassess their next career steps. “Mila and Ashton used to be a genuinely liked and well-respected pair, so this has been a huge wake-up call for them,” an insider revealed to In Touch Weekly. “They are shocked to the core and are doing their best to lay low, hoping it doesn’t jeopardize their careers in the long-term.”
While the actors understand they made a “calamitous decision” last year, they do not want to make that same mistake again with Combs’ allegations. “They are focusing on their family and their marriage and enjoying the lowkey home life right now,” noted the Daily Mail insider. That seems to be the best course of action for Kutcher and Kunis, who seem to still be nursing their wounds from last year’s controversy.
