'Live's Mark Consuelos Shocks Kelly Ripa with On-Air Admission About Kissing a Fan

Mark Consuelos recently told the Live with Kelly and Mark audience about an unexpected "passionate" encounter he had with a fan—and apparently it was his wife Kelly Ripa's first time hearing the story, too.

After being in Italy to watch his soccer team win their championship match, the actor, 53, was still buzzing from the victory on the Tuesday, April 30 episode of Live, gushing about the exuberant celebrations that took place after the game.

The Riverdale star admitted he was so caught up in the celebration that he locked lips with a fan, much to the surprise of his co-host and wife.

"We ran over to our fans," Consuelos said while recalling the surreal moment, noting that it "gets very dramatic in Italian football," so there is a plexiglass barrier to keep crowds controlled.

"I see this lady. Let’s call her my aunt...maybe someone else's aunt. Not my aunt. Someone else's aunt. And we look at each other and she’s so excited. And there’s this glass, and we come to the glass, and you know what? I kissed her," he recalled.

"Is there footage of this?" his wife, 53, wanted to know, but Consuelos instead opted for a reenactment of the moment.

"I actually closed my eyes," he added, while Ripa interjected to say, "That doesn't happen. You never close your eyes!"

"I closed my eyes and my back foot went up," he doubled down. "I laid one on her."

"That is incredible. With an open mouth?" Ripa asked, to which her hubby replied, "No, no. It was like a smooch."

"But it was passionate," he insisted.

"Did you have an emotional affair?" Ripa wanted to know, prompting Consuelos to backtrack his story, stating, "No. It could have been a guy, by the way. I don't know."

"Don't try to save yourself now," Ripa joked. "You’ve already qualified this as somebody’s aunt."

But it makes sense that Consuelos had a lot to celebrate. As a result of the recent victory, his football club, Campobasso, will now be moving up to the third division, which is a "huge deal," he said.
