Lizzo wears Ozempic Halloween costume, mocking 'South Park' and trolls
Lizzo is clapping back at her trolls while also turning the tables on "South Park" with her hilarious Halloween costume.
The "About Damn Time" singer dressed up as a weight-loss drug she dubbed "LizzOzempic" in a series of social media posts shared on Saturday. She donned a mock FDA-approved box labeled "diet suppressor," cinched at the waist with a yellow measuring tape.
One post appeared to be an advertisement that read, "Need self-love? Try Lizzo! Lose guilt, gain confidence" and "Side effects include: A smile on your face and a pep in your step."
In another, she noshed on pizza and posed with a person in an inflatable Eric Cartman costume, jabbing at a recent "South Park" special titled "The End of Obesity" that sent up her focus on body positivity.
Halloween 2024: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, more stars transform. See the best looks,
“OK Halloween … you can start now," she winkingly captioned one post.
In another, she twerked with Cartman and wrote, "It's that time of year where I feed y’all so ridiculously and you're so very welcome baby."
On the long-running animated series for adults, Eric Cartman's doctor prescribes him Lizzo as a cheaper alternative to Ozempic or Mounjaro, saying insurance only covers those drugs if a patient has diabetes. In a voiceover, Lizzo is touted as a cheaper alternative that "makes you feel good about your weight, and it costs 90% less than Ozempic. In case studies, 70% of patients on Lizzo no longer cared how much they weighed."
Last month, the 36-year-old star confronted fan speculation about her ongoing fitness journey. "When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit," she wrote, putting her head in her hand and sighing.
She also shared clips revealing her weight loss, accompanied by audio of Nicki Minaj saying, "The fact that you would even discuss my looks is insane," and wrote in the caption, "FINE BOTH WAYS."
