This local doughnut store is offering a $12-a-dozen promotion

This deal is just ducky.

Whether Peanut Butter Paradise or Maple Bacon is more your jam, you can snag a dozen donuts from Duck Donuts for $12 in honor of National Rubber Ducky Day on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

The offer is good at Duck Donuts locations across North America.

The deal is only good on the Duck Dozen, which the franchise says is made up of "creative combinations inspired by our hometown of Duck, NC."

On Jan. 10, Duck Donuts also will launch QuackChat, a new text messaging program.

According to Duck Donuts, "QuackChat will sprinkle exclusive offers, new flavors and the latest happenings directly to registered mobile devices. Starting Jan. 10 and available on all mobile carriers, guests can text DOZEN to 50282 to join."

Each new user will be sent a welcome offer for a free donut.
