Logan Paul Says He Isn’t Banned From Japan, Would Like To Be Invited Back
Logan Paul says he likely won’t return to Japan unless he’s invited.
The former WWE United States Champion has a checkered past with the country. During a 2017 trip to Japan, he filmed a dead body in the Aokigahara forest, commonly known as the “suicide forest.” Posting the video on his YouTube vlog sparked huge controversy, but he eventually bounced back.
He lost sponsors, viewers and subscribers following the backlash. The Rock even cut ties with the YouTuber-turned wrestler in 2022, after becoming away of his infamous Japanese suicide forest video.
Seven years have now passed, although Logan Paul has yet to return to Japan. However, he wishes he could be invited back.
In the latest episode of the Impaulsive podcast, Logan Paul spoke with Dominik Mysterio. The former NXT North American Champion discussed WWE’s recent tour of Japan and asked why Logan Paul didn’t participate.
After some prodding, Mysterio asked if Logan Paul was banned from Japan, which he denied. However, he added that he would return if invited.
“I had prior obligations” Logan Paul said, before Dominik Mysterio asked him if he was allowed to go to Japan.
“Bro, Dom! What do you think? Yes I can go to Japan. I can go to Japan! I’m not excommunicado. I’ve never said this before, but my rule was if I went back, I’d like to be invited back. I just haven’t gotten the invite yet. Probably my best bet is the WWE.”
“I love Japan, I actually love Japan. Tokyo is like a giant arcade game. It is the cleanest, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and my favorite city in the world. And I f*ck it all up, and I hate that.”
