Will there be a Loki Season 2?
Yes! That reveal may come as a surprise to some Marvel fans, because Loki creator and executive producer Michael Waldron previously said he only planned to make a single season of the series.
“It was really always my hope and intention with this to tell a complete story with this season,” Waldron explained. “Season 1 would stand on its own.” However, he also said, “Is there more story to tell in the future? I don’t know. Time will tell.” (We see what he did there.) Deadlinepreviously reported that Waldron has a deal with Disney for a large slate of projects, including a then-unconfirmed Season 2 of Loki, as well as a Star Warsfilm; in addition, Waldron was already tapped by the studio to write Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness.
Other behind-the-scenes figures from the show have hinted that there were more stories to be told than could necessarily be contained in a single season. Nate Moore, Marvel Studios Vice President of Production & Development, told IndieWire, “I think there’s a lot of storytelling in Loki that’s really irreverent and clever and cool, but also lends itself to multiple seasons in a way where it’s not a one-off.”

When is Loki Season 2 coming out?
A premiere date has yet to be set for Loki Season 2, though it's expected to premiere sometime in summer 2023. Several variables could determine when we get to see more of the Asgardian demigod of mischief, including the production dates and release slates for the rest of the MCU, which were significantly delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
When does Loki Season 2 start filming?
In mid-August 2021, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told Collider, "[Season 2] is underway. We’re developing it as we speak. The hope is that much of the same team will return." He also mentioned that "the director search will begin shortly" after Season 1 director and executive producer Kate Herron went on to "bigger and better things." Herron herself told the outlet in July 2021 about her departure, "I poured every aspect of my soul and my time into the show," and that after Season 1 was done, she was looking forward to "sleeping. Lots of sleeping."
Meanwhile, Production Weekly reported that Loki Season 2 wouldn't start filming until 2022. As recently as August 2022, the project was still filming.

Hiddleston will obviously be in Season 2 of Loki, especially considering he's credited as an executive producer on Season 1.
How many seasons of Loki will there be?
Right now, only two seasons (Seasons 1 and 2) have been confirmed for Loki. The future beyond that will likely be determined by the machinations of the greater MCU.
What is the last episode of Loki?
So far, the last episode of Loki is the Season 1 finale, titled, "For All Time. Always." This, of course, will change once Season 2 drops.
What time does Loki come out?
Season 1 episodes of Loki premiered on Disney+ at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 a.m. PT on Wednesdays. Who will be in the cast of Loki Season 2?
Besides Hiddleston, it remains to be seen who will appear in Loki Season 2. Depending on what happens in between its release and the releases of the rest of the projects in the MCU pipeline, we may expect to see Jonathan Majors return as Kang the Conqueror traveling between timelines, as well as Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, and Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15—unless they're being reserved solely for other projects within the multiverse. The Loki Season 2 cast so far includes:
Tom Hiddleston as Loki
After Season 1 of Loki concluded, Hiddleston said of playing the mischief maker, "I'm a temporary torchbearer. I've always thought that. It's a great role. It's an archetype, the trickster god, the agent of chaos. I'm just here interpreting that for the time being. Loki has been here for centuries and will be here for centuries more and I'm just stepping into that silhouette for now."
Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie "Lady Loki" Laufeydottir
Sophia di Martino blew Marvel fans' minds as Sylvie, a lady variant of Loki. She told Entertainment Weekly of the role, "It was really important to [director Kate Herron] and to me and to everyone that Sylvie is her own character, and Kate was like, 'You do what you want with her. Just go for it.' I had free reign over Sylvie, which was amazing. I think it's clever because the scripts give us what's similar about her and Loki."
The actress added, "She has the mischievousness, and she has the chaotic energy, and she has that relentless sort of hedonism that he has. That was all there. Then the rest of it, I could just play with really, which is such a gift. And it was a lot of fun finding who this person is."
Owen Wilson as Mobius
You'll have to forgive Owen Wilson for being a little quiet about Loki because, well, talking too much about the series has gotten him in trouble "multiple times," he revealed to Comicbook.com. When asked what to expect from Loki Season 2, he said only, "Well, I do think that… you know, we’ll see what happens with this one. I immediately get kind of self-conscious because they’re so kind of uptight."
Ke Huy Quan as a TVA employee
Following his turn in the critically acclaimed Everything Everywhere All At Once, Ke Huy Quan was revealed to be part of Loki Season 2. It was announced during the D23 convention that he'd play a TVA employee in the second season.

We do know that the multiverse was, of course, be a main feature of Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
